An Anticlimactic Climax
So we’ve finally reached the end of season 4! With the kind of action this season has shown so far, I was expecting the finale to be spectacular. But, I must say that Rainbow has disappointed. There are so many plot points that have been left unclear, and the ones they did “resolve” were done in a bad way.
First of all, Rainbow did nothing about Roxy. We see her flying with the group in the end as though she’s one of them, but the creators have been teasing us with that for months. Will she join the Winx or not? I was positive that we’d finally get an answer, but once again, they did not say for sure. Are you tired of it at this point? I am. At least we know that she’s going to Magix with them. We’ll see how that turns out.
My second example—the Wizards of the Black Circle. They were such a serious threat that people knew it wasn’t over for them back in episode 13. I mean, Bloom is strong and all, but one hit just isn’t enough to take them down. The end they met in the finale was less exciting than the first battle! After fighting the Winx and Nebula, the Wizards end up frozen in ice, falling into the deepest depths of Omega. Not cool, but for those of us who enjoyed them, it gives us hope. After all, Baltor escaped from Omega in season 3. It could happen again.
Which brings me to another point. With Duman gone, there are only three Wizards left—just enough for them to make a good match for the Trix, don’t you think? I wonder if there’s a future for them….
And speaking of wizards, perhaps the biggest plot point of all was left unresolved: Nabu! I know we all were hoping that he would make a comeback in this last episode. It happened before with Tecna and Sky. Surely they wouldn’t leave Nabu like that, right? Of course they would. Layla went and paid her respects before rejoining the Winx. She was still upset, but seemed to have pulled herself together. Who’s left for her now? (Surely not one of the band guys! o_O) So sadly, it seems that our dear Nabu is gone for good (although there is the questionable “ghost of Nabu” rumor floating around).
Well, all-in-all, I am disappointed with the season finale, but you don’t have to agree with me. Besides, there’s still season 5 and the second movie to look forward to! Maybe things will be resolved then. We’ll find out eventually.

Yes, I was hoping that they would explain more in the season’s finale but they didn’t! I relly hope that Nabu will be back and I can’t wait to find out whether Roxy is a Winx or not. And I was expecting a cooler end for the Wizards. Winx didn’t even fought them properly…..
It would be cool if they escaped and joined forces with Trix, maybe in the second movie? That would be cool and the Trix would finaly stop fighting over the same guy. For example IcyxOgron, DarcyxGantlos and StormyxAnagan. That would be a cool match wouldn’t it?! And then Baltor could make a come back…….. That would be awsome!
I have to slightly agree. The final battle definately could have been better, but they didn’t have a whole lot of time, and I liked the way they all worked together. Also, the whole season, I was REALLY hoping for a come back with the Trix. I missed having them. Maybe they’ll come back in the movie. I mean, you can’t end the first movie with them and then have them NOT come back. Also, when Roxy was talking to Faragonda, unfortunately the only word I could pick up was “Alfea” Maybe she’s training there. Who knows, so many questions left unanswered, but that’s what the movies for. Guess we gotta wait till 2010. *sigh*
I hope the trix come back…..But I guess theres still hope because on the new winx.com they mention the tirx like in the magix park you have say “Look out, theres a trix” and one of the mini games feature the tirx, so theres still hope.

You know, I never got that. In one game you fought the Trix in a Believix form but now there’s no Believix and no Trix! So was that just a random game?
Oh, also, while it may sound cruel, I’m actually…*gulp* glad that Nabu didn’t come back to life. I mean, it’s kind of annoying if someone say “OMG THEY’RE DEAD! THEY’RE DEAD!” and then later goes, “Whoops, sorry. We just made you all cry for nothing.” You get what I’m saying? Sure if I could choose for him NOT to die in a heartbeat I would do that. But if you’ve already killed ‘em, leave ‘em dead. (Poor Nabu only got to be in the show for 2 seasons. That’s also bad for his voice actor) RIP Nabu
I miss Nabu, but you’re kinda right. It would be dumb to say, “Just kidding!” with something like that. That’s kinda why I didn’t care much for Tecna’s supposed end. Although, they probably did that to make her more popular since she’s apparently the least favorite Winx. (Best Believix, though.)

That’s probably why Tecna is seemingly the least favorite Winx. Because she’s had so little spotlight time. If she was in the limelight more often, she would be more appreciated.

Yes, I agree with you. I was disappointed by this “cliffhanger” of a season finale.
But, on the up side, I am glad that Winx Club is being renewed for a fifth season. ^^

In season 3 when Tecna was supposed to be dead, it was kind of sad. She may not be my fav Winx but winx club isn’t winx club whiwout Tecna. The same with Nabu. Though it doesn’t look like he’s coming back:( And I agree with you, she had the best Belivix and Sopiex and even her Lovix wasn’t bad.
I liked ths season a lot, but in some eppys it kinda seemed like they were making a joke of it to be honest…take this for example:
1.Believix had all these extra little secrets, but they only use most of them once, whats the point in that again???
2. They’re kinda making us question the obvious, in season two, as soon as I saw layla in the underealm/shadowhaunt in 4K, I kinda knew she was gonna be a winx, and I liked the idea of a equel amount winx girls so everyone has a BFF instead one being left out, but with Roxy its so hard to tell……..When Nabu died, to be quite honest, I thought he was gonna make a comeback so I wasn’t overly worried, but when he didn’t make one, thats when I started to cry, just like I did when I got that horrid feeling tecna was dead when she went into omega. And then was the iccident with the pixies….
3. In the middle fo the season they paused for supence, we were waiting ages for season four and then we had to wait another month for a (Shudders) filler episode to launch the second half.

You know, another thing I missed this season was the pixies. They only came in the first few episodes, and then when they went to earth you never saw them again! The pixies are just too cute to leave out of the show!
Yeah, but they did get annoying sometimes…
The only pixies I found annoying were Tune and occasionally Lockette. You know, another thing about not developing Tecna enough, was that every pixie helped the Winx discover their weakness. But Digit was just like Tecna! I don’t think they put enough thought into Tecna’s pixie.
