Flora’s Santa Outfit: Too Risqué? *UPDATE*
Have you seen the latest Christmas article from the official website? It shows this image of Flora:
I did a double take when I saw it. She looked naked at first. The Santa coat is barely visible behind her arm and the magic light. And her pose, combined with the lipstick, comes off somewhat “Victoria’s Secret” to me.
I hear fans say all the time they wish the Winx wore more cloth, and I definitely agree. The Sophiex “collection” was probably the worst in terms of modesty.
This outfit? She’s covered, but still…
What do you think?

I’m with the part of the fanbase that do not mind them wearing less. But skirts in winter clothes is not sexy, but utterly STUPID.
Yeah, they’ve definitely shown they don’t care about seasons.

Though cute in theory… Find me a girl who would wear a short skirt, and lay down on a snow pile. It is not practical. At all. Period.
Actually, I happen to know a girl who would do that. We haven’t gotten snow, but I do remember seeing her a previous year sitting on her knees while helping her smaller siblings build a snow fort and she had on short shorts. As much as I hated to be busybody, I asked her why and she said the cold snow tickles her. I just said okay and walked off.
Hah. Makes the notion of “presents” a whole lot more… innuendo…

The outfit itself is ok I guess, but combined with the pose… no. Just no.

The outfit, I don’t mind. For some reason, the pose bothers me because it’s Flora doing it. If it were Stella, I’d see it as fine. Hmm.

I totally agree with you. Flora is not that diva. I don’t think her clothes are too sexy for Winx, but maybe too much for her. There is is SOMETHING about this picture that makes it look fanarty. The first glance, first look, before reading anything I was like: ” Oh so whats the news with this fanart?”
Maybe it’s because the background looks like It’s copied off from somewhere or maybe its because Flora does’t suit in this pose…. I really don’t know

Whoa! Its a great picture but it just doesnt seem…flora like to me. If stella, layla or even musa did it then i think it could have been pulled off but flora? No. For some reason she reminds me of mariah carey in the oh santa! music video lol! Must be the dress! But then again, flora is techniquely 20 years old now so i guess they wanted to try something different. I agree on the victoria secrets look but, doesnt the winx look like victoria secret fashion models anyways? I guess its a fairy thing. Merry christmas everyone!

Me neither. They were shown in swimsuits a few times and no-one said anything about that. The only things that bother me are the pose and the fact that the picture is on the official website.
I’m fine with the clothes pose but if Stella was wearing it that would be better! Personally I think that this is a fan art. But it’s snowing they are crazy if they actually wear that. They will so get frostbite!
I aggree outfit fine. I wouldnt wear it but bare shoulders is a-okay with me. the problemo if you will is as you said it totally not okay!!! is this not a show for children I seriously wonder what Straffi is thinking sometimes!!!
Of course, if a kid asks their parents for clothes like these, the parents could easily just say no rather than complain about the attire of cartoon characters.

I don’t mind the Winx dressing as they do, but in winter as well?
This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the pose and the way-too-bright light that obscures Flora’s outfit. I agree with the comments about this kind of thing not befitting of Flora at all; it’d be more in-character for Stella to wear risqué outfits and pose suggestively.
But it seems to be a bit of a trend with Flora nowadays. While all the Sophix outfits are pretty skimpy, I think it’d be hard to argue whose Sophix outfit is the most revealing: Flora’s, of course! I think the same can be said of her Believix outfit, too… though it’s on a smaller scale.
Even though this kind of thing does not fit Flora’s character at all, my guess is that the artists are going by aesthetic appeal rather than which character would most likely be in this scenario. It’s kind of a stretch, but I think they can get more – dare I say – sex appeal out of Flora by appearance alone. She’s got the sweet face, slanted eyes, tanned skin… sure, Stella’s cute in her own way, but she doesn’t have “that look” that Flora has.
And unfortunately, as with most girl-based franchises of this day and age, subliminal sex appeal is often resorted to sell their product.
But that’s just how I see it.
If it were bloom or stell it would be okay…,but no it’s just not like flora to pose or dress that way! Just flat out NO!
Am I the only one who sees floras skin got brighter? It used to be darker
I actually have to agree with you, this outfit is rather ‘dodge’ and the pose does nothing to help it either. Though I suppose the winx club has a sort of theme with wearing just enough cloth to cover up, but this maybe just a step too far.
