1 & 2 There is no “v” sound in Japanese, so it’s usually replaced with a “b” sound. Also used sometimes is a modified “u” (ウ) sound, written as a “vi” (ヴィ).
3 There is no soft “c” sound in Japanese, so it’s usually replaced with “shi” (シ).

Just remembering, aren’t English Ls supposed to strangely translate into Japanese Rs but English Rs translate into Japanese Ls? Or is that just with Chinese?
Actually there is no “L” in Japanese. “L’s” and “R’s” become Japanese “R” sounds. For example, lock in Japanese katakana is rokku (ロック) but this can also be rock.
I don’t know anything about Chinese. That sounds interesting. =)
In Chinese, “R” and “L” make different sounds.

For Lovix, what you wrote is very close. I think it’d be Rabikkusu or Ravikkusu, going off the Japanese transliteration for love, ラブ (rabu).

Can you read it? I found it when i translate “Una di Noi” to Japanese website and text.
Una di Noi in Japanese text is ウナディノイ
It says “majikku.” Mahou is the Japanese word for “magic,” and majikku is the English word sounded out and written in Japanese katakana. It’s the same thing with una di noi (ウナディノイ).
I noticed that in the Italian, when they say Tracix, the “a” makes more of an “ah” sound than a long A. So could it also be translated Toraashikkusu?
Never mind, I listened to it again, it does sound more like a long A. My mistake.
That’s true, it’s quite a long A. Italian as a language has more syllables than English, and quite a few stretched sounds! Here’s an example:
il mio nome ashley
My name is ashley
The first three words of the Italian sentence have 5 syllables, because the “O” in “nome” is stretched, and is thus taken as a seperate syllable.
My name is has three syllables, because none of the sounds are stretched.
My bad, I left out the e in the first Italian sentence. That makes it six syllables.
I’m not sure if this is where to ask but I’m am having some problems deciding where to use erufu, sennyo, or yousei for elf in a story I am writing. From the little I am finding, it seems yousei is actually fairy or sprite but I can’t find anything on he other two. I am using it in the context of Tolkin (lord of the rings) type elves, I don’t want to pick, say, Sennyo only to later find that one meant christmas elves.

LMAO!! I didn’t even notice this was a winks club page or whatever this is. I just typed “Elf in Japanese” in the google bar and this was one of the pages, and when I skimmed through I saw people discussing the spoken language so… Sorry guys, didn’t mean to but into this if its a members only thing or something. Still, if anyone does know, the answer would still be appreciated. ‘^_^
